Dimensional Metrology

CMM Inspection to Confirm Dimensional Measurement

Laboratory Testing Inc. provides dimensional metrology services, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection and traditional hand tool inspection methods, through its LTI Metrology Lab. The Lab is equipped with contact and video CMM inspection equipment to provide reliable first article and third party dimensional metrology and measurement services. We are able to perform CMM inspection services on machined parts and products with dimensions up to 18″ x 20″ x 16″. All CMM inspection equipment is programmable for automated dimensional measurement, which provides repeatability with reliable accuracy for large-quantity orders. The technicians at LTI Metrology also provide traditional dimensional metrology with an assortment of NIST-traceable hand tools including thread gages, plug gages, height gages, micrometers, calipers and surface plates.

LTI’s full-range of dimensional metrology capabilities include efficient and reliable measurement of surface features on products, special product features and internal and external threads on fasteners. Both CMM inspection and traditional dimensional metrology services are A2LA accredited and can be performed according to NAS, MS and ANSI specifications.
