Ensuring Quality Results

Whether the work we do is for the military, aerospace, nuclear power generation, medical industry, or a local manufacturer, our number one concern is quality. We take this responsibility seriously because quality directly relates to cost, delivery, reliability, and safety. That’s why all calibration, machining and lab testing services are performed according to customer requirements, industry specifications and standards, and our own stringent procedures.

The testing lab maintains a strict Quality Assurance (QA) system with tight control of all aspects of testing and inspection to ensure our data meets quality standards. Quality Assurance impacts all areas of our operation, from sample tracking and data management to equipment calibration and test methodologies. Our QA team conducts regular internal quality audits, and our company is Accreditations and Approvals.

LTI is also devoted to Continual Improvement (CI) and has adopted many new procedures to strengthen our control and tracking, while minimizing handling and processing time. Although the CI program has significantly streamlined and improved consistency in daily operations, we continue to seek feedback and look for new ways to further enhance and ensure the quality of the lab processes.

Quality Updates

At times, regulatory agencies approve or revise guidelines and specifications that impact services provided by LTI. Recent updates will be noted in this section of our website.

Implementation of Specification Revisions

LTI’s policy on the implementation of revisions to specifications (i.e., ASTM, AMS, ISO, etc.) is up to Nadcap and ASME standards. The revision of the specification (i.e., ASTM, AMS, ISO, etc.) becomes effective six months after the issue date of the revision. The use of such revisions is optional during this six-month grace period. Unless an earlier revision is specified in the customer’s order or the governing document, the latest revision of the specifications (i.e., ASTM, AMS, ISO, etc.) on file at LTI will be used.
