Corrosion Analysis to Select the Right Material
Corrosion can be costly and devastating, so testing makes sense before damage occurs. Accelerated intergranular corrosion analysis using methods such as salt spray (salt fog), humidity, temperature and passivation testing are performed at Lab Testing to help customers determine the impact of environmental conditions on their material or products. Testing and analysis can help compare materials, estimate the life of products, and determine if material will meet the needs of its intended application. Corrosion analysis and passivation testing are performed in accordance with ASTM practices.
Our environmental chamber is ideal for ensuring the reliability of products such as electronic items through exposure to thermal cycling, fast temperature cycling, and extreme temperature and humidity conditions. Temperature testing is available in the range of -94°F to +356°F (-70°C to +180°C). Humidity testing is in the range of 10% to 96% relative humidity. The humidity and temperature working ranges comply with DIN, ISO, MIL, IEC, DEF and ASTM testing standards.
Whatever your analysis needs, our chemistry and corrosion analysis laboratory will get you answers, even on orders with unique requirements or limited sample weight. Our analysis capabilities cover metals, ores, ferroalloys, composites, ceramics, and materials used in the aerospace and nuclear industries.
