Radiography to See Beyond the Surface
Radiography at Laboratory Testing Inc. is performed using X-ray film to create a permanent visible record of a material’s internal condition. The inspection process is performed for any number of reasons including locating internal discontinuities, confirming the integrity of internal components and determining the quality of welds. At LTI, most radiography is performed in our 20 ft. x 20 ft. radiography vault with X-ray equipment that can penetrate materials and products of varying sizes made from metal, plastic and other solids. Our technicians also work with a cabinet camera for small products such as electronic parts. Our high-capacity forklifts and cranes will safely move materials weighing up to three tons from our shipping/receiving area to our radiography vault.
