LTI Receives Additional P&W Appendix 56 Aerospace Testing Approvals

February 15th, 2013

Laboratory Testing Inc. has received additional aerospace testing approvals under Appendix 56 from aerospace manufacturer Pratt & Whitney. The recent additions to the P&W approval include Fracture Toughness Testing, Metallographic Examination of welds and testing performed on non-metallic materials. Laboratory Testing Inc. is also Pratt & Whitney approved to perform a wide-range of mechanical testing, chemical analysis, corrosion testing, nondestructive testing and additional metallographic examinations.

LTI performs an extensive list of Nadcap accredited materials testing with Certified Material Test Reports for manufacturers and suppliers in the aerospace industry including chemistry, metallography, corrosion, and mechanical testing services. Quality and reliability are requirements and testing results provide information necessary to determine mechanical properties, verify composition, identify materials and locate flaws or defects to be certain the product is appropriate for its intended use.
