The calibration lab at Laboratory Testing Inc., known as LTI Metrology, is a supplier of vacuum calibration services near Philadelphia PA. Our technicians provide vacuum calibration services for various types of instruments including vacuum gage calibration (vacuum gauge calibration) for absolute pressure, atmospheric pressure, and gage pressure vacuum gages. Vacuum transducer and barometer calibration are also offered with the capabilities listed below.
The Vacuum Calibration Process
Computerized pressure modules with negative pressure capacities are utilized to perform the inspection and record the results of vacuum calibration. Before the process begins, instruments are exercised to full capacity three times to be sure they are in working order. During the vacuum calibration process, a known standard is set to each pressure point that is inspected and compared with the readings received from the instrument being calibrated. This identifies any deviation from the standard. Instruments typically receive a 5 point vacuum calibration with comparisons to the standard occurring at every 20 percent of capacity. A higher accuracy calibration will include 10 inspection points at every 10 percent of capacity.
