  • Barometer Calibration
    • Aneroid
  • Vacuum Gage Calibration (0-30″ Hg; 2% to 0.1%)
    • Absolute Pressure
    • Atmospheric Pressure
    • Gage Pressure
  • Vacuum Transducer Calibration (to less than 0.1%)

Vacuum calibration customers receive a detailed Calibration Certificate for each item calibrated that lists:

  • Complete calibration results
  • Our NIST-traceable standards
  • Information on any adjustments or repairs made during calibration

The Vacuum Calibration Process

Computerized pressure modules with negative pressure capacities are utilized to perform the inspection and record the results of vacuum calibration. Before the process begins, instruments are exercised to full capacity three times to be sure they are in working order.

During the vacuum calibration process, a known standard is set to each pressure point that is inspected and compared with the readings received from the instrument being calibrated. This identifies any deviation from the standard. Instruments typically receive a 5 point vacuum calibration with comparisons to the standard occurring at every 20 percent of capacity. A higher accuracy calibration will include 10 inspection points at every 10 percent of capacity.
