Calibration Accreditation Renewed & Expanded
Laboratory Testing Inc. has renewed and expanded its A2LA accreditation through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). The latest accreditation covers the following services:
- Dimensional testing and inspection
- Dimensional calibration of a wide-variety of standards and measuring instruments
- Pressure, torque, force and mass calibration
- Field calibration of surface plates, optical comparators, balances, hardness testers, microscopes and testing machines
- An expanded scope for Electrical and Temperature calibration, and oven and furnace uniformity surveys performed at LTI and in the field
Our newest accredited capabilities include electrical calibration of multimeters, megohmeters, oscilloscopes, hy-pots and other electrical instruments, as well as temperature calibration of instruments such as thermometers, hygrometers, psychrometers, pyrometers, recorders, RTD probes and thermocouples with temperature ranges from -45° C to 700° C.
The A2LA accreditation certificates state that LTI is accredited in accordance with the recognized International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005 – “General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories”. This laboratory also meets the requirements of ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994 and any additional program requirements in the field of calibration.
Laboratory Testing Inc. first received A2LA accreditation for dimensional testing in 1989 and for calibration services in 2001. The current A2LA accreditation certificates are valid through March 31, 2013. The certificates are available on the LTI website at quality-accreditations.
