Laboratory Testing Holds Open House
An Open House was held on August 21, 2008 at Laboratory Testing Inc.'s recently expanded facility. The testing and calibration laboratory constructed a 12,000 sq. ft. building addition and 65-space parking lot at its facility in Hatfield, PA. The expansion was prompted by the needs for more space and additional employees due to steady sales growth and plans to add new materials testing, nondestructive testing and calibration services.
Customers, members of local ASM (American Society of Materials International) and ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) chapters and other businesses throughout the area attended the Open House to tour the facility, to observe testing, machining and calibration services and to speak with the company's technical specialists.
The laboratory purchased its original 45,000 sq. ft. Hatfield building in 1999 and added a 2-story 9,000 sq. ft. addition before moving into the facility in early 2000. The new 12,000 sq. ft. addition is home to the company's Calibration Lab and doubled the size of its Machine Shop.
