Nadcap Accreditation for Materials Testing and ISO/IEC 17025 Renewed
The Nadcap Accreditation held by Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) has been reapproved for Materials Testing and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance. LTI was recently audited by the Performance Review Institute and re-approved for another 18 months of accreditation. The new Nadcap certificates are valid through April 30, 2013. The Materials Testing Accreditation covers a wide-range of services performed by the laboratory including chemical analysis, mechanical testing, metallography, elemental analysis, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, microhardness, corrosion, heat treating, specimen machining and evaluation of welds. The ISO/IEC 17025 scope includes accredited materials testing and nondestructive testing services.
Nadcap is the Performance Review Institute’s industry-managed program for special processes in the aerospace industry. Accreditation is in accordance with SAE Aerospace Standard AS7003. Laboratory Testing Inc. was first accredited for materials testing in 1994. LTI has also been Nadcap accredited in Nondestructive Testing for liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection methods since 1992, with the current certificate valid through July 31, 2012.
