LTI on 2011 Best Places to Work in PA List
Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2011. Laboratory Testing is an accredited, independent materials testing, nondestructive testing and metrology laboratory providing certified test and calibration reports. LTI employs over 125 engineers, chemists, technicians, inspectors and support staff on two work shifts.
The Best Places to Work in PA program was created in 2000 to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Pennsylvania. The awards list is made up of 100 companies divided into two groups. One includes 50 medium-sized companies with 25-250 employees; the other is 50 large companies with 251 or more employees. Laboratory Testing Inc. has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA in the medium category, and was also a recipient in 2002 and 2009.
Companies from across the state entered the two-part selection process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. Each nominated company was first evaluated on workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total ranking score. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the satisfaction and experience of employees. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings, which will be announced at an awards ceremony on December 1, 2011 in Lancaster, PA.
The statewide survey and awards program is a partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and the Central Penn Business Journal.
