ASNT Conference Presentation Scheduled
"Digital Chart Recording of Immersion UT"
Phil Trach, UT Level III & NDT Technologies Coordinator at Laboratory Testing Inc., will present his paper, “Digital Chart Recording of Immersion UT” at the ASNT’s Fall Conference & Quality Testing Show 2011, October 24-28, 2011 in Palm Springs. The advantages and limitations of digitally recording, storing and viewing the Ultrasonic Testing (UT) data stream will be compared with using printed paper charts. The presentation will cover results from paper and digital recording in similar test situations, and explain why digital recording produces documentation that is more secure than paper, records the data with better resolution, and allows measurement and confirmation of more inspection characteristics.
