Mechanical Testing Technician- 2nd Shift

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include tensile, hardness, charpy, stress rupture, and miscellaneous testing and some equipment maintenance. This position requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical ability, some computer skills, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  Experience preferred, but not required.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Cylindrical Grinding Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include operating cylindrical grinding machines and CNC and manual lathes. Working knowledge of other machine shop equipment is desirable. This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, the ability to hold tight tolerances, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience with a solid background in setting up and operating cylindrical grinding equipment and lathes.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma required with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred.

Ultrasonic Testing Technician

Job Status:

Full time, first shift (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include performing ultrasonic inspection and testing of materials in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures. Experience with immersion inspection helpful. Material handling and some equipment maintenance is required.  This position requires mechanical aptitude, good mathematical abilities, prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  Candidates must be certifiable to SNT-TC-1A Level II.

Metallurgical Engineer

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00 AM-4:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include conducting metallographic analyses in accordance with ASTM, ASME, and/or customer supplied specifications and test procedures, and performing sample preparation (drilling, cutting, grinding, mounting, polishing) on materials provided by the customer. Inside Sales Manager

Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible to oversee and support the Account Managers and Customer Service Teams to ensure the department is meeting monthly goals, supporting Business Development, Customer Satisfaction, and leveraging the tools to make it happen.

Scope of Responsibility:

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Inside Sales Manager will monitor sales metrics and manage the entire sales process. They will be able to motivate and lead the sales team to achieve specific goals and build a high performing team to meet customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Embody company culture and maintain high sales employee engagement.
  • Manage day to day performance of all sales team members.
  • Conduct Selling efforts as needed.
  • Responsible to implement performance plans and quarterly reviews according to company procedure.

Director of Quality

Job Description:

Position Description

Laboratory Testing Inc. (LTI) is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance. This person will serve as LTI’s Chief Reputation Officer who preserves, promotes, and protects the company’s reputation by implementing and maintaining a world-class quality system. The Director is the functional leader for all activities related to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Continuous Improvement for our materials testing laboratories. The Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s quality assurance system and for building a team that promotes customer satisfaction, while positively impacting financial performance.

The Director should possess high integrity and strong business and personal ethics. He or she should have an engineering degree with a CQE/CQM and should possess knowledge of complex quality systems, such as NADCAP, ISO 17025, and AS9100, including experience in the implementation and maintenance of such systems. The right candidate should also have exceptional experience leading in a matrix organization with multiple locations. Above all, this leader should be a creative problem-solver who demonstrates constructive impatience with the status quo, thinks outside the box, exhibits entrepreneurial spirit, and embraces new ideas to generate positive change.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic direction and tactical focus for the Quality Assurance organization. Is responsible for the overall efficiency and effective management of the entire Quality Assurance department, which includes quality system compliance and value added services.
  • Exercises authority over the quality management system, including NADCAP, ISO 17025, 10CFR50 NQA1, ISO9001 and others, for multiple LTI business units.
  • Serves as process owner for customer issues and complaints, quality incidents, process deviations, and inquiries. Constructively interacts with both internal and external customers during quality audits and through the NCR process to identify opportunities for quality improvement. Provides recommendations for service improvements to the company’s executive team.
  • Using continuous improvement methods (e.g. Kaizen, Six Sigma, PDCA), initiates and implements quality improvement programs to elevate company performance and service levels.
  • Through education and training, creates employee awareness of their impact on the company’s quality management system. Establishes and publicizes quality performance metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality, reject, loss, and failure rates) for monitoring quality system effectiveness and for promoting sound quality decision-making by operating managers.
  • Reports to the President; serves on the Executive Leadership Team; and provides feedback to both regarding performance of Quality Assurance department (including quality issues, trends, losses, audits, and supplier management).

Position Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in complex QA systems management and implementation.
  • CQE/CQM with experience in a test lab or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills including quality control applications (e.g. ERP quality), Word, Excel, Power Point, and Visio.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Experience in a high volume transactional business or discrete manufacturer.
  • Due to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) all candidates must be US Citizens
