Outside Sales Executive

Job Description:

 

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads within his/her territory and expertise.

Scope of Responsibility:

Member of the sales team that helps ensure the achievement of the company’s revenue and profit goals by selling the company’s services to existing, new, and potential customers and ensuring their satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes new business by planning and organizing daily activities to call on existing or potential prospects.
  • Work with Account Managers to service accounts.
  • Attends industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing customers.
  • Participates in the strategic planning process of the Sales Team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years of sales experience, materials testing or metals background helpful.
  • willing to travel 50% of the time.

Fracture Mechanics Testing Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include performing fatigue and fracture mechanics testing.  Essential duties include operating test frames to test high cycle fatigue on fasteners, fracture toughness to established protocols and procedures unaided, and fracture toughness and fatigue growth under the supervision of management.  Also includes configuring software in accordance with test protocol and procedures, and measuring and preparing specimens before testing.  This position requires mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, the ability to work well in a team environment, the ability to process work with accuracy, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position may require prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Civil Engineering.

Machine Shop Assistant

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include performing various tasks to support the day to day machining and testing operations including but not limited to sawing, shearing, CNC and manual machining, deburring, polishing, packaging, marking, cleaning and organizing scrap material as required.  Essential duties include maintaining a calibration recall list, tracking and locating orders, using customer supplied drawings to layout and mark material prior to cutting, operating a fork lift and pallet jack, and assisting with maintaining shop equipment.  This position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work well in a team environment, the ability to process work with accuracy in a fast paced environment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Magnetic Particle Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00AM– 3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include performing magnetic particle inspection of materials provided by customers in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures.  Essential duties include setting up equipment used for testing, handling materials utilizing monorail cranes and forklifts, following all applicable and required specifications and procedures, insuring the test equipment and instruments are functioning properly, and analyzing and documenting test results.  This position requires mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to work well in a team environment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing and walking, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma required.

Saw/Water Jet Operator

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include the accurate saw cutting and water jetting of materials to facilitate the machining of test specimens. Essential duties include using proper techniques for speeds and feed of different alloys in saw cutting, using proper techniques for setting water jet parameters for different alloys and material thickness, adjusting cut files if needed within the water jet software, maintaining traceability of materials and parts, accurately inputting required data into LIMS program, troubleshooting problems, and assisting with maintaining shop equipment.   A minimum of two (2) years machine shop experience with sawing duties preferred, but not required.  This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred.

Part-time QA Clerk

Job Status:

Part-time 15-18 hours per week (proposed working hours M-F 3:00 PM-6:30 PM)

Job Description:

Performs or assists with a variety of clerical duties including photocopying, faxing, filing, e-mailing, and collating.  Collects completed jobs throughout the facility and accurately matches them up with customer purchase orders.  Prepares and scans documents.  Applies postage to correspondence and prepares outgoing mail for pick-up.

Educational Requirements:

High school junior or senior, or local college student

EDM Technician

Job Status:

Full time, second shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include operating EDM machines. Working knowledge of other machine shop equipment desirable.  This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, the ability to hold tight tolerances, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience with a solid background in operating EDM equipment.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred

Certification Clerk (Part-time Afternoon/Evening)

Job Status:

Part-time M-F, ~2:00 – 7:00 PM, but will work ~1:30 – 5:30 PM approx. 6 months for training

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include accurately and efficiently typing and merging, amending, and correcting Laboratory Test Reports and Certificates; reviewing test/calibration requirements and test/calibration results and typing this data on the report/certificate; and proofreading test reports /certificates to ensure completeness and accuracy.  Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and other Business Software Applications (Lab Data, ERP, Document Management Software, Adobe Acrobat, etc.) and the ability to read and interpret technical data is required or preferred.

The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have excellent attention to detail, be able to perform work and typing with a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work independently and under the varying pressure of business / customer deadlines and high-volume processing of certificates.
