Mechanical Testing Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include tensile, hardness, charpy, stress rupture, and miscellaneous testing and some equipment maintenance. This position requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical ability, some computer skills, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  Experience preferred, but not required.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Chemistry Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include sample preparation, chemical testing and analysis of test results, and other laboratory tasks. Lab experience, especially with Direct Reading Atomic Emission Spectroscopy, desirable.  This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, strong mathematical ability, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related science preferred, but will consider candidate with a minimum of (7) years related work experience.

Shipper/Receiver – Metrology

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

Job Description:

Responsible for receiving incoming deliveries, staging and movement of materials and orders within Metrology, and preparing outgoing materials and items for shipment. Valid driver’s license and ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to (75) pounds required.  Knowledge of shipping software, forklift experience, and prior shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Cylindrical Grinding Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include operating cylindrical grinding machines and CNC and manual lathes. Working knowledge of other machine shop equipment is desirable. This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, the ability to hold tight tolerances, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience with a solid background in setting up and operating cylindrical grinding equipment and lathes.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma required with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred.

EDM Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include operating Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment. Working knowledge of other machine shop equipment is desirable. This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, the ability to hold tight tolerances, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience with a solid background in setting up and operating EDM equipment.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma required with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred.

Hydro Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Responsibilities include material handling, including forklift and crane operation, and performing tests on materials. This position requires mechanical aptitude, good mathematical abilities, attention to detail, prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma.

Order Entry Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Job Description:

 Primary responsibilities include order entry and contract review. This includes efficiently and accurately entering orders including purchase order requirements into the laboratory management system, determining that requested testing is within LTI’s scope or capability and accreditation, and inspecting test specimens/equipment to verify compliance with the purchase order.  Attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a time sensitive environment are critical.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel are required.

Educational Requirements:

A degree in Office or Business Administration, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in contract review and data transfer, or an equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

CNC Milling Operator

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include CNC and manual milling. Essential duties include setting up and running parts and test specimens, maintaining traceability of materials and parts, troubleshooting problems, and assisting with maintaining shop equipment.  3-5 years milling experience and working knowledge of other machine shop equipment preferred.  Experience with G-code programming helpful.  This position requires excellent attention to detail and accuracy, the ability to process work in a fast paced environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  This position also requires prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years experience with a solid background in operating milling equipment.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma required with related trade or technical school diploma or certificate preferred.

Calibration Technician

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:30 AM- 4:00 PM)

Job Description:

Job Description: Primary responsibilities include performing dimensional inspection of supplied products, samples, and fixtures using a Smart Scope, CMM, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, and other calibration standards; calibrating electronic test equipment including meters, scopes, counters, generators, power supplies, Hy-Pot testers, and temperature and resistance equipment; developing calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical documentation; identifying out-of-tolerance conditions and performing corrective actions via adjustments, component replacement, and correction factors; and preparing calibration reports and certificates. This position requires mechanical aptitude, good mathematical abilities, technical writing abilities, knowledge of Quality Management system (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ANSI Z540), and proficient use of MS Word and Excel. Hands on experience with mechanical measuring tools is desirable.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma with at least three (3) years of calibration experience
