Mechanical Testing Technician – 2nd Shift

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Performs tensile, elevated tensile, stress rupture, hardness, charpy, and other testing as required on material samples provided by customers in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Saw Operator – 2nd Shift

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (2:30 PM-11:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include the accurate cutting of customer materials to facilitate machining of test specimens.  Essential duties include using proper techniques for speeds and feed of different alloys in saw cutting, maintaining traceability of test pieces and customer scrap at all times, accurately inputting required data into LIMS program, troubleshooting problems, and assisting with maintaining shop equipment.  

Educational Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma required.

Sales/Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include:

– Serving as liaison between customers and our testing labs

– Interpreting material specifications and requirements for preparation of cost estimates for various material tests including mechanical testing, non-destructive testing, chemical analysis, metallography, and calibration

– Assisting with project management

– Providing ongoing support for assigned accounts

Sales Engineers work to propose solutions to meet customer testing requirements, provide customers with industry knowledge and expertise, and deliver exceptional customer service and consultation with consistent outcomes.

Educational Requirements:

4 year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy.

Mechanical Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Status:

Full-time (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include determining test specification requirements, the accurate transcription and delivery of data, and the timely preparation and routing of test samples to various departments.  This position is also responsible for reviewing technique and inspection records, reviewing purchase orders and specifications, assuring that fixturing is available to perform testing, determining machining requirements, maintaining job status, specifying machining processes, re-assigning test codes and making price changes when necessary, continuously updating and maintaining the specification library, assisting with recording data in the proper format, and ensuring traceability and identification on all pieces of material.  This position requires the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications, excellent communication skills, mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, the ability to expeditiously resolve problems that occur during the performance of daily responsibilities, the ability to process work with accuracy, the ability to multi-task, leadership skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Educational Requirements:

BS in Mechanical Engineering

Shipper/Receiver

Job Status:

Full-time, first shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Job Description:

Responsible for receiving incoming deliveries, staging and movement of materials and orders, and preparing outgoing materials and items for shipment. Valid driver’s license and ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to (75) pounds required.  Knowledge of shipping software, forklift experience, and prior shipping/receiving experience preferred.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma.

UT Level 1 Operator – 2nd Shift

Job Status:

Full-time, second shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include performing ultrasonic testing of materials provided by customers in accordance with applicable specifications and procedures.  Material handling utilizing monorail cranes and fork lifts, and some equipment maintenance is required.  This position requires mechanical and mathematical aptitude, prolonged standing, and the ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma required.

UT Level 1 Operator – 1st Shift

Job Status:
