LTI is highly experienced at the testing of forged materials to support production processes, quality programs, and R&D projects for the greater Philadelphia area. Our labs can test all of the common metals used in forgings, including carbon, alloy and stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, brass, copper, and high-temperature alloys.

Forging is a manufacturing process where metal is pressed, pounded, or squeezed under great pressure into high-strength parts. The metal is generally preheated to a desired temperature before it is worked. Forgings are regularly specified where strength and reliability, as well as resistance to shock and fatigue, are required.

  • “I truly believe the support in the planning phases from your team was the largest reason this project was successful…”

Even before the project began, Chris and Dominic worked with us last year (10 months in advance of PO) to plan and pave the groundwork that made this project successful. As we neared the contract award, we were overwhelmed by the supporting cast (1-2 dozen LTI team members) that joined us for SOW revisions and feedback in August. I truly believe the support in the planning phases from your team was the largest reason this project was successful ... Chris and Dominic – they have been an absolute pleasure working with as our direct POC’s for this effort. Chris really impressed me last year with the level of attention he paid to our job, communication, transparency, and commitment to success. This year, Dominic took over an even bigger job and far exceeded expectations with the same qualities Chris displayed last year. As I walked down the halls of your facility, I saw the 30+ company [culture fundamentals]. I can truly say Dominic and Chris embody each one of them.
